A busy few weeks have meant that I haven’t been able to publish a blog post announcing Tab Shelf 2025.1.0 and 2025.1.1. I thought I might as well announce, even if a few days late, since the changes in these releases have been pretty exciting.
Version 2025.1.0 (codenamed Milkshake) introduced a slew of quality of life improvements. This includes new context menu options to sleep or close tabs above or below the selected tab, prevent a tab from going to sleep, and to quickly select a tab group to move the selected tab to. The tab filter menu has also been re-built with improved filter options.
Version 2025.1.1 introduces a re-worked tab grouping rule engine under the hood. The new engine fixes an issue where opening Tab Shelf in a window with multiple tabs (attached to rules) might cause duplicate tab groups to be created. As a side effect, the new engine is significantly less resource intensive. This release also includes the ability to customize which buttons appear in the Action Bar. A ‘scroll to bottom’ button has also been added to the Action Bar.
You can see the full changelog for versions 2025.1.0 and 2025.1.1 in the changelogs page.
