Move tabs within their group, redesigned drag hints, and a refreshed app icon

New features

  • Context menu options (under ‘Move tab to…’) to move a grouped tab to the start or end of its current group.

Changes

  • Redesigned the drag-and-drop hints for tabs to show where the tab would be inserted in the tab list. Previously it showed a black box around the tab, but now a line will appear either at the top or bottom of a tab when dragging a tab over other tabs to re-position it.
  • Refreshed the Tab Shelf icon.
  • Removed images from onboarding/welcome screens.
  • Added a disclaimer about how Tab Shelf’s saved tab groups are not related to Chrome’s synced tab groups. Closed tab groups will not appear in the Saves menu due to limitations in the Chrome Extensions API.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Ungroup tab’ option was appearing for tabs there weren’t grouped.

Known issues

  • Tab Shelf on Microsoft Edge is stuck in dark mode although Edge is using a light theme.
